Dr. Jay Seitz Is an Experienced Neuropsychologist in Manhattan

Dr. Jay Seitz is an experienced neuropsychologist in Manhattan specializing in clinical neuropsychology and brain-behavior based problems in children, adolescents, adults, and late age adults. He focuses on areas including diagnostic testing for brain injury, tumors, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, dementia and other neurological disorders.

Dr. Jay Seitz treats his patients with cognitive therapy and neurocognitive rehabilitation (cognitive and memory training). He has been licensed in New York for the professional practice of Psychology since 1991. He has additional training in CBT (cognitive-behavioral therapy), REBT (rational-emotive behavior therapy) for those who have relationship related issues in a family with a brain-injured patient.

Dr. Jay Seitz was previously on the doctoral and graduate faculties of Adelphi University and the undergraduate and graduate faculties of New York University and City University of New York (CUNY, tenured 2001). He was the Vice President of the Board of Directors of the newly founded American Dance Museum (ADaM) and previously on the Board of Directors of the Dalcroze School of Music (now part of Lucy Moses School), both in New York City.  He also has a longstanding interest in the arts, and has studied both music (contrabass, piano) and dance (choreography). He has also written many magazine articles on the psychology, for instance: “I move…therefore I am” in 1993, which appeared in Psychology Today.
